The History:
This a 1947 Ford 12 foot flatbed, the truck was bought new in '47 by the KC Light company and than sold to the town of Williams, AZ as a show truck. During its time as a show truck the original flathead V8 blew up and was replaced by a 500HP chevy 350. the tranny was also changed but is still a 3-speed with the low granny. later the truck was than sold to a citizen of Williams where it was used to haul tractors to farm antique shows. Our family is only the fourth owner to this truck in 60 years. when we picked up the truck it was in need of some major TLC, some body work had been done but not completed, the bed wood was completely aged and need replaced. the truck needed 6 new tires and a clutch, and also had blown brake cylinders and wore out pads. we had to trailer the truck home and replaced the clutch, tires, brake pads, and all wheel cylinders. The bed has had a full frame-off with new wood and paint.

What's Left:
This truck is has had everything done to it except the cab, but like it sets it still capable of being a daily driver. The truck has no rust but needs some body work finished on the finders. only the gas gage, tack, and temp gage are working,(the others just have not been hooked up.) The cab needs to be repainted and the seats need to be redone, that's all. once this has been done the little nooks and crannies are really up to the new owner. That's really all I can say except this is truly the one beast that Ford created. Its a blast to drive and I know the new owner will be more than satisfied.
